Love Never Fails

Artist’s Note:

There’s so much that is special about this song. The first is that I wrote this song with my Dad. He is a musician and singer as well. The second is that this song was written as a tribute to the soldiers who fell at Normandy during D-Day.

My Dad was moved during a trip to the beaches of Normandy. He said you could feel the emotion in the sand, the weight of the sacrifice. He told the story of the Bedford Boys, a group of boys from Bedford, Virginia who all lost their lives during the first few minutes of the battle. We were inspired.

The song tells the story of one such Bedford boy, surrounded by his friends, on the U-Boat, about to hit the beaches and knowing he is likely going to his death. In his final moments he thinks of his sweetheart back home, he thinks of his Mom. He knows he’ll never see them again. But, he clings to the hope that love will never fail.
